Congregation Beth Shalom will conduct a Holocaust Memorial Service on Sunday, May 1st at 6:15 pm. We come together to light the Holocaust candles: to remember those whom we know and those whose very names are lost.
Immediately following the service, the Sioux City Jewish Film Festival will show the first film of the 2011 series: LaRafle. A French-language film with English subtitles, LaRafle, will take the audience to July 16, 1942 when 13,000 Jews were "rounded up" by French police and forced into Paris' Winter Velodrome.
The public is welcome to attend these events. There is no charge.
